Books I Love

Books have been both a shelter and a spring-board for me at different times. I remember reading Jane Eyre as a teenager and feeling like I'd found a kindred soul, just as I had years ago in Anne Shirley, another childhood heroine of mine. They have been my friends when I had none and the guide to both my interior life and the path I need to follow. Here are a few of my favorite books. What are yours?

Transitions
Courage - Osho
Feel the fear and do it anyway - Susan Jeffers

Psychology and Personality
The Highly Sensitive Person - Elaine Aron
Honoring the Self - Nathaniel Branden
Quiet - Susan Cain
The Road Less Traveled - M. Scott Peck

Growing as a Woman
Jane Eyre - Charlotte Bronte
Women who run with the Wolves - Clarissa Pinkola Estes
When Work Doesn't Work Anymore - Elizabeth Perle McKenna
Women Don't Ask - Linda Babcock and Sara Laschever

Healing and Holistic Health
Eastern Body, Western Mind - Anodea Judith
You can Heal Your Life - Louise Hay

Creativity
The Artiste's Way - Julia Cameron
Walking in This World - Julia Cameron
Writing Begins With the Breath - Laraine Herring
